Giovann and his groomsmen sported classic black tuxedos for the big day. For the ceremony, Arianna wore a breathtaking lace Monique Lhuillier gown with detachable sleeves and her bridesmaids looked radiant in satin dresses in shades of rust, champagne, and terracotta. When it was time to break it down, Arianna switched into a fun boho mini-dress with feather fringe details.

Kelsey and Brandon met in 2018 at a dinner party hosted by mutual friends. They sat next to each other during a post-dinner game of charades and had an instant connection. Brandon can vividly recall being sad when Kelsey had to leave the party with her friends, but Kelsey was excited when she received a Facebook message the next day asking if she’d like to go for drinks and to play pool. Since then, they’ve enjoyed countless activities together, such as skating the Ottawa canal, going for bike rides and runs, playing golf and floor hockey, and hitting up any karaoke bar they come across. Their wedding took place at the stunning Stonefields Estate in Carleton Place, Ontario, coincidentally on the same date that two sets of grandparents had gotten married! Captured on camera by Enas Photography, Kelsey and Brandon’s day is the perfect example of how to host an elegant “something blue” wedding.

Bouquets with blue

The bouquets from AM Floral Studio consisted mainly of white roses, green & silver dollar eucalyptus, white astilbe, and soft-blue baby delphiniums to compliment the dusty-blue bridesmaid dresses. Tied to Kelsey’s bouquet was a picture of her late Father, as well as a wedding bell charm that he gave to Kelsey’s Mother during their engagement in 1979.

Emphasizing (not overhauling) the venue

The ceremony was performed outside in front of a beautiful stone house, with white benches and lanterns lining the aisle. There was plenty of shade provided by large, mature trees, and a perfect gentle breeze kept everyone cool on the hot August day. Kelsey looked timeless as her brother Jamie drove her to the ceremony in his teal ‘66 Mustang.

Making the most of candids

Polaroid cameras were provided to add a fun touch to the guest book. Guests were able to take candid pictures and add them to the book, along with writing a fun message. There was also a table showing the wedding photos of the Bride and Groom’s Parents and Grandparents.

Reception: Stonefields Estate barn

The reception took place in a breathtaking wooden barn, with a beautiful outdoor seating area available during cocktail hour and after dinner. The venue and staff were exceptional; everything ran without a hitch, and the food was incredible. The guest tables were decorated with three votive candles and three white roses, each in their own individual bud vase. Green satin napkins lined the white tablecloths, complimenting the white roses with green stems.

Choreographing the first dance

Music was an important part of the day with Kelsey and Brandon performing a choreographed first dance to an acoustic rendition of James Bay’s “Wild Love,” Kelsey singing “Cheek to Cheek,” and live music throughout the day by Lucas Haneman Express (who had been family friends for many years!).

Cake design: White rose accents

The same white roses were also used to decorate a delicious 3-tier lemon cake with white icing, which was provided by Artistic Cake Design.

Honey Bloom Bakery masterfully crafted a modern 3 tier wedding cake. Shimmering fabric cascaded down the side of the cake to give a romantic yet dramatic effect! The design featured flavors of lemon chiffon cake with crème brûlée custard filling and French vanilla buttercream frosting.

Empress gin lilac cocktails

A vibrant, lilac colored cocktail by Set The Bar Sue added a pop of color and a delicious twist to the reception setting! The recipe calls for Empress gin, fresh lemon juice, honey syrup topped with a floral garnish.

It’s true – when you know, you know!

When it came time to dress shop, the bride’s mom, best friend, and MOH flew into Nashville to dress shop with her. When you know you know, or so they say, and for this bride it was absolutely true! Crissy found her dress at the first dress shop they went to, and it was even among the first few she tried on! After selecting the dress, Crissy was able to have it impeccably altered and adjusted to include every detail that she knew she wanted for her wedding day look.

Sage is the perfect statement-making neutral

Deciding on bridesmaid dresses, the color, and style was actually one of the biggest struggles bride Crissy encountered while planning the wedding. She knew she wanted to stick with neutrals to complement the shades of cream, but she also wanted something that was a statement and would complement little details throughout the wedding day, including the gorgeous bouquets courtesy of The Bloom House. Crissy found the perfect color and silk fabric by Bec + Bridge in the color sage. The bridesmaids were absolutely stunning, and they fit the vibe perfectly!

The power of capturing a private first look

One of the most special moments of the day for the couple was their first look. They shared, “We were eager to see each other, and when we did, it was like everything around us paused. We were able to share such sweet moments together and – thankfully – our photographers and videographers were there to capture it.”

Music choice was incredibly important to the bride and groom, and each and every song they picked was special to them.  The bride processed to “You Are the Reason” by Calum Scott and Leona Lewis, performed on the day of the wedding by Stevenson Everett Clawson and the couple’s dear friend, Briana Tyson.  The groom and the bridal party processed to an acoustic version of “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” and the recessional was the every popular, “Kiss Me” by Sixpence None the Richer.  When it came time for their first dance, Crissy and Mitch danced to “By Your Side” by The 1975.

Even the bride’s classic white heels were tied with dainty matching bows. Just like Mary, we too would cry at this dazzling of a dress reveal!

They were actually engaged in Glacier National Park, watching the sunrise over Wild Goose Island.

A garden party reception brought indoors

As it happened to be a beautifully rainy day for Mary and Pearse, their reception choice of the rustic yet airy barn at The Farm at Old Edwards was ideal to host an indoor garden party. Eva Clark Events blended luscious floral design by Floressence Flowers with the cozy aesthetics and feeling of togetherness the couple desired for friends and family who had been apart during the pandemic.

Florals were absolutely everywhere from the impressive arch surrounding the sweetheart table to the textured table linens from BBJ La Tavola Linen. The gorgeous rental decor that feels straight out of a tea party was from Fête and Professional Party Rentals.

The elegant pearl five-tier cake was crafted by Lush Cakery – we love that the delicate bow motif from Mary’s fashion made a tasty dessert debut!

Tiffany and Noli had known each other since middle school, but they didn’t actually start dating until after college when they reconnected over their Finance studies. Through dating, they’ve shared a love of travel, their friends and family, and their precious orange cat, Bodie! Tiffany and Noli’s wedding was the perfect combination of the bride’s elegant style and the groom’s fun-loving personality. For their special day, this couple created a beautiful dinner setting that transitioned into a downtown party in San Luis Obispo.

The bride wore “The Lottie” from Daughters of Simone, based in Fresno, California for their wedding at The Penny in downtown San Luis Obispo. In the bride’s own words, “It was an absolute dream!” They wanted to create a getaway for the guests, and this was the ideal location. Because it was walking distance from a number of great restaurants, bars, and shopping, The Penny was perfect! The venue space had an industrial, yet romantic vibe with an outdoor space that really created the best of both worlds. And their super cute welcome sign? That was courtesy of the bride herself!

The couple incorporated nods to the groom’s culture throughout the day

For their wedding, the goal was to have fun and also make sure to incorporate the groom’s culture wherever possible. The bride was able to include elements important to her by having her grandfather officiate their ceremony in a moment that brought tears to everyone’s eyes. To include Noli’s Hispanic culture, the couple incorporated a mariachi band and a glass of champagne to greet each of their guests before the ceremony. The mariachi band even played right after the couple’s first kiss to get the party started! Tiffany and Noli included touches of terracotta throughout the decor, and for the fun, they wanted the dance floor to be absolutely non-stop. They worked with an incredible DJ, Paul Thompson from Epic Entertainment, who really knew how to help the guests bring the party!

At the reception, the couple decided to forego a signature cocktail for an open bar and champagne greeting. The reception tables were definitely romantic to complement the industrial space, so they included lots of candles, roses, and the touches of terracotta. Each place setting had terracotta tiles from Mexico with the guests’ names hand-written on them. The couple swears that it was truly the tablescape that “brought it all together.” Tiffany and Noli cut into a vanilla with almond buttercream cake courtesy of SLO Cakery, and yes, they’re saving some for their one-year anniversary!

Mason and Katherine met during their sophomore year of college when the two kept bumping into each other until Mason finally asked Katherine to join him on a coffee date. Mason continued to be full of surprises, especially on the day he proposed. At the time Katherine was taking classes in Speech-Language Pathology. Mason told Katherine that he had lined up some educational therapy materials that a connection wanted to pass along to her to help in her studies. Instead, he took her to a lake house where he led her down to a beautiful spot on the water and proposed to her.

The Grandeur House in Little Rock, Arkansas, known for its elegance and charm, served as the perfect venue for Mason and Katherine’s big day. Located on a 27-acre property surrounded by picturesque landscapes, the high ceilings and expansive windows exude an air of sophistication and grandeur. The farmhouse style blended well with the natural greenery and classic blue and white toile elements that were sprinkled throughout the event, creating a sunny and inviting atmosphere. Katherine shared, “The wedding day was sweet, peaceful, and endearing. There were very few stressful minutes during the getting ready part, and then we were able to have a private ceremony where my dad officiated with family only in attendance, followed by lots of pictures of our wedding party. We then got to have a second ceremony with all of our friends and families, where Mason’s uncle was able to officiate. This followed with a fun reception full of yummy food, lively music, and great conversation!”

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a delicious dinner by Vibrant Occasions Catering. For appetizers, they served meatballs and ham and cheese sliders. For dinner, entree options included a delicious breaded chicken with white cream sauce and bacon-wrapped pork with mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, salad, and rolls as sides. There was even an interactive ice cream sundae bar and wedding cake for dessert that satisfied every sweet tooth! Wedding planner Kaitie Gill of Kaitie Gill Weddings shared, “There were some connections between the couple and two of their vendors for this wedding that made the day even more special. Both the couple and I attended Ouachita Baptist University, so we really hit it off from the start. Furthermore, Chef Serge Krikorian with Vibrant Occasions Catering was a fraternity brother of Katherine’s father. They had wonderful vendors who went above and beyond to make their day perfect. Personally, one of my favorite elements was their guest book that donned the same florals that were featured on their cake. Katherine had a vision and followed through with it until the end, and they were one of the sweetest couples to ever work with!”

“I always recommend that the getting ready portion of the day is the most crucial for setting the tone for the rest of the wedding! If hair and makeup runs late, everything gets pushed back, and a whole lot of stress can ensue. I try my absolute best to work with the planner and couple to make sure they have enough photo time, but still also have time to be present with each other and their guests.”
