John and Amanda met in 2018 while both working at the same accounting firm in San Francisco. For the two accounting nerds, it was love at first sight. Four years and a move down to LA later, John proposed at their favorite spot overlooking the ocean in Santa Monica. From the start, John and Amanda had a very simple vision for their wedding–tacos and margaritas on the beach surrounded by family and friends.

Amanda and John tied the knot at the historic Adamson House, right off Highway 1 in Malibu. Mere feet from the ocean, they tied the knot with personal vows, followed by a reception at sunset. The Adamson House was the perfect venue with the Pacific Ocean as the backdrop and the freedom to hire the vendors that could bring their vision to life. Kon Tiki Taco catered the event serving a wide array of Mexican favorites while The Whaling Club served signature cocktails such as a spicy cucumber margarita. With all the colorful tile and native wildflowers throughout the property, they worked with Blooming Events by Terry to create a simple floral palette of neutrals and whites with pops of pale blue.

The bridal party wore shades of blue and navy to complement the florals. Amanda wore a gorgeous low-back gown from A and Be Bridal shop. She was drawn to “Pearl” by Jenny Yoo, because she fell in love with the pearl detailing on the straps, a nod to the coastal venue.

The “cottage-core” wedding decor aesthetic was executed beautifully by Lindsy of Coastal Coordinates. They were married by one of their best friends in a tear-jerking ceremony with personal vows and words of wisdom from their parents.

Guests were invited to tour the historic house during cocktail hour before settling into the reception space overlooking the Malibu pier. Speeches and dances took place as the sun set over the ocean and surfers caught the last waves of the evening, a perfect California-inspired event.

Chelsea and Dan met at a bar in Nashville with a group of friends, and it immediately felt comfortable and organic. Their love grew from there, and their shared love for the beach brought them to pursue a destination wedding at Carillon Weddings in the Florida Panhandle. Chelsea wanted to blend classic and elegant elements with a bright and bold color palette. Guests were created by a mirrored welcome sign framed in vintage gold and accented with contemporary fonts.

Tropical floral arch: A ceremony centerpiece

The ceremony was on the sugar sands that the Emerald Coast is known for with waves hitting the shore just steps away. The show-stopping arbor piece by Florals by the Sea, adorned in tropical greenery and bright colored florals in shades of pinks, oranges, yellows, and purples, guided guests to their seats and served as the perfect backdrop for Chelsea and Dan to become husband and wife.

Cocktail hour on the lawn

Cocktail hour took place on the lawn overlooking the beach and included a timeless guest book surrounded by photos, as well as custom wedding koozies for guests to take with them as favors.

Rattan lanterns in the tropics

Following the ceremony, guests were greeted under a clear tent with vibrant signature cocktails and delicious hors d’oeuvres. Rattan lanterns and greenery hung above the checkered dance floor where everyone gathered to watch the first dances take place.

Wedding cake design: A pop of color

After dinner, the cake from Sweetly Sisters was truly the icing on top of an already beautiful evening. The rest of the night, the air was filled with a mix of good music (thanks to B-Boy Productions), laughter, and love!

When you’re having a destination wedding, a welcome party is always a good idea! For their wedding in Los Cabos, Yassee and Yuri welcomed their guests with a poolside reception at Mar del Cabo. The white and blue of the venue were the perfect hint at the Mediterranean-inspired theme for the weekend.

In their separate suites, the two prepared for the big day. The groom donned his light gray three-piece suit and the bride took in the ocean breeze from her balcony as she slipped into her gown. She selected a breathtaking sheer mermaid dress with lace and 3-D floral embellishments that was absolutely perfect for the beachy setting.

Andrea and Albert united their lives forever with an intimate wedding on the beach and dinner at sunset at an event that was nothing short of spectacular. As a couple who is always smiling and loving life, it was not surprising to see them barefoot all day on the day of their wedding enjoying the beautiful sandy beach and romantic environment. This unique celebration takes place on an idyllic lawn at the Viewpoint Hotel overlooking the Nubble lighthouse, where modern luxury and avant-garde elements intertwine seamlessly with a vibrant summer atmosphere. Our design concept revolved around the creative incorporation of acrylic, infusing a touch of contemporary elegance into every detail. The color palette is a harmonious blend of lavender, peach, mauve, beige, raspberry, and cool water, evoking a sense of romance and serenity.

Under the meticulous guidance of Harmon’s Floral Company, the arbor becomes a captivating display of texture, featuring ethereal limonium, tree ferns, preserved baby’s breath, hydrangeas, and an exquisite selection of roses intertwining effortlessly with delicate delphiniums, creating a whimsical backdrop for the ceremony. The bridal bouquet reflects the same enchantment, combining delicate peach roses, graceful pink snapdragons, and pale lavender button mums. Trailing amaranthus, complementing the tones in the arbor, adds an ethereal touch, as if nature itself is embracing the bride.

For the waterfront ceremony, the bride wore a crisp fit and flare gown with a modern pleated neckline. The subtle pearl accents on the veil served as a nod to the nautical venue. Wedding Angels Bridal Boutique provided the gowns, veils and hair pieces. The groom looked dapper in a white tuxedo jacket and black bowtie. For the reception, the bride changed into a slinky beaded dress with delicate straps, perfect for dancing the night away. Jenna and Thomas’ wedding weekend in the Bahamas had it all – from the floating ceremony buildout and oyster shell candles to signature Caribbean cocktails, the elevated and experiential details from this island wedding speak for themselves. We pulled our inspiration from the lush tranquility of the island, starting with a welcome party at The Other Side’s Ocean View Club. Local steel drums invited guests to settle in, enjoying a vibey space filled with tropical hues, beachwood, and intimate lighting. This wedding will forever live in our minds as one of the most otherworldly designs we’ve ever created, and we couldn’t be more grateful to Jenna and Thomas for trusting us to go beyond their wildest dreams.

From the very beginning, Jenna and Thomas wanted their wedding weekend to feel like a big party, a carefree and elegant destination celebration. On my first phone call with Jenna, she told me that she and Thomas wanted something unique. We spent dozens of hours researching to find a location that checked ALL the boxes and made her and Thomas feel like their wedding weekend was 100% their own. When I found The Otherside Hotel in the Bahamas, they were sold! Creating an elegant weekend wedding experience for our couple and their guests is our specialty. The venue sits on Eleuthera, an island accessible only by boat, but we took this challenge in stride to create something wholly unique and custom for our couple.

For Jenna and Thomas’ wedding day, we pulled inspiration from Eleuthera’s surroundings. Beige, white, and pink hues reflected the surrounding sands; the soft and subtle blues echoed the Caribbean sky and sea. Guests stepped off the boat onto the island, greeted by custom fans and champagne flutes, and we knew this day was going to be special. Every detail, from the ceremony layout to the customized linens, contributed to this wedding’s high-end, ethereal feel.

We designed the ceremony to emulate the landscape and surrounding views throughout this island in the Bahamas. Our team built a custom ceremony aisle over the pool, elevating a standard beach wedding to feel luxe, lush and completely unique. We worked with Noble Floral to create a floating cloud ceremony with mono-bloom clusters, fluffy whites, like the clouds, walking over the infinity pool, like the ocean. Everything about this modern and romantic concept was cohesively created to make you feel like the beauty around you was only being enhanced, not compromised.

As guests made their way to the cocktail hour, we curated a custom space that felt both elevated and casual. Custom pillows and table linens played perfectly with the bridesmaid couture and the blue thistle florals. Custom linen signage and bar menus brought a sense of elevated magic to the beachfront setup.

an ethereal open-air reception

Creating the reception dinner was a huge source of inspiration for the wedding day. Our team filled the space with elegant chiffon draping and a large, lush hanging installation, casting an otherworldly, dreamlike glow over the evening. We added elevated details throughout, including pearl-white dining sets and silver-rimmed glasses. Natural elements, including sand and wheat grass, swirled around candles and florals, creating a romantic atmosphere for a night of celebration. With shoes kicked off and sunglasses on, guests took to the dance floor twirling to the late-night croons of a saxophone playing out over the nearby waves and the DJ set.

To match the theme of this styled wedding, the couple donned both traditional East Asian attire followed by Western clothes (perfect for a champagne toast!) The bride’s traditional cheongsam dress is both elegant and ethereal with its sheer silhouette and keyhole neckline.

The bride’s traditional style is perfect for a tea ceremony or cultural component of your day! The design team fell in love with her traditional conical bamboo hat that they wanted to incorporate in a modern way.

The groom’s cheongsam attire is a modern twist on the black suit jacket. A sleek and formal fit topped with a traditional mandarin collar, gold trim, pankou knots, and a beautifully embroidered gold dragon.

With more and more couples choosing to forgo the traditional wedding cake, event designer Canvas Weddings & Events opted for a traditional Japanese dessert, mochi, which paired beautifully with the ornate china pattern.

For the perfect reception or dance floor outfit change, the couple transformed their look into Western attire for romantic beach portraits by Katina Patriquin – followed by a classic champagne tower. This timeless trend will never go out of style!

The bride’s Galia Lahav gown with its plunging neckline, romantic floral lace, and fitted mermaid was the perfect ode to the sandy ocean waters. After portraits, she slipped into a short and playful party dress with tulle skirt!

A sentimental wedding destination

Alex spent the summers of her childhood visiting family in Cape Cod, and when she first brought Colton, it was love at first sight. The two couldn’t think of a better place to hold their wedding. The stunning grounds of Wequassett Resort and Golf Club offered a variety of breathtaking areas for the couple’s portraits, ceremony, and indoor reception.

Pleasant Bay served as the couple’s scenic ceremony backdrop, and sailboats passed by as they took their vows. Moments and Lifetimes officiated their “I do’s” in front of the couple’s closest friends and family. 

“Whenever somebody asks how Alex and Colton met, Colton likes to tell a different story each time. The truth is that the two met on Bumble and have been inseparable ever since. In the spring of 2022, Colton took Alex to a “happy” hour event outside of Fort Worth. They pulled up to a castle on the shores of Lake Whitney to tour the grounds. He proposed to her outside on a waterfront terrace before taking her to an engagement party with their family and friends.”

Guests found their seats at the reception using DIY oyster shell name tags, hand-painted by the bride Alex herself. Guests were also welcomed to baby blue custom koozies that featured an illustration of the wedding venue!

Floral-filled ivory & blue reception 

The charming reception tablescapes by Timeless Event Planning included white roses, ranunculus, and delphinium alongside taper candles and dusty blue glassware. The lavish floral arrangements by Soul Flora were paired with timeless rental decor from PEAK Event Services.

After toasting to the newlyweds, everyone donned white cowboy hats and dashed to the dancefloor for celebrations and revelry! Sweet treats were provided by Konditor Meister Bakery.
