In fact, a smaller guest list means that you can invest more in the experience and decor, which is exactly what this couple did for their big day. They leaned on COJ Events to bring it all together and find just the right venue and Melissa Atle was there to capture every last detail and special moment.

A Romantic, Modern Take on a Multicultural Garden Party Wedding
Kate and Carl were friends for over a decade before they finally realized they were meant to be together. After a year of dating, they moved in together—only weeks before learning they’d be in lockdown for the pandemic! Despite the situation, the pair cherished their time together and made beautiful memories at Kate’s childhood home. When things started to open up again, Kate took Carl for a weekend in the Berkshires with her best friends and their husbands. He proposed to her there, turning their trip into a magical celebration of their love story! Kate said yes during a weekend getaway, so a destination wedding was a natural choice!
They envisioned an intimate weekend with close friends and family, so they limited their guest list to 50 people and fully booked, The Madrona, a California boutique hotel for the weekend. From Thursday’s welcome dinner to Sunday’s farewell brunch, no detail was overlooked. After several days of activities (including a private winery tour and pool party), Kate and Carl wed in a romantic garden-inspired ceremony bedecked with dried grasses and muted florals by the talented team at Marigold.
We love a painted invitation suite, especially when you’re having a destination wedding. It’s a great way to capture the essence of a location and truly customize the experience for your guests. Plus, if you talk to your artist, they may gift you the original copy of the venue painting to have as a keepsake!
Let’s be real, the bride’s regal Milla Nova dress stole the show–simply breathtaking. But, the groom’s black and white patent leather Air Jordans definitely gave her a run for her money (pun intended).
The garden vibe carried over to their reception space, a veranda dressed with hanging greenery, wicker furniture, and plenty of candles. Guests enjoyed a custom tasting menu with wine pairings while doodling on paper covering the table as a nod to a tradition from Kate’s childhood. After dinner, espresso martinis had everyone on the dance floor, partying the night away until two in the morning!
These vintage-inspired cake designs are still trending hard, but from the looks of it, it’s also safe to say they’re trending upward… Tall cakes are back and we love that this couple decided to use their cake as their something blue.

Mountain Micro-Wedding With A Little Bit Of Texas Style And A Lot Of Snow
Skylar and Jeremy’s love story is deeply connected to the mountains around their wedding venue. Growing up in the Tahoe area, Skylar always dreamed of a winter wedding, and this dream came true at Rainbow Lodge, where they hosted an intimate gathering for 65 of their closest friends and family. Jeremy proposed to Skylar after a hike to Marlette Lake, an Alpine lake near their venue, against a backdrop of snowy peaks. They then celebrated their engagement with a surprise party at Skylar’s childhood home in Lake Tahoe.
Skylar looked stunning in a Lovers Society gown with a Watters lace top, which transitioned perfectly into a short Watters dress paired with bridal sneakers for the reception. Her bridesmaids wore dresses in different fabrics and shades of blue, including some in velvet for a winter feel. Later in the evening, the bridesmaids added fur wraps for an extra touch of elegance.
Impeccably planned by Sisters Events, the day was a perfect blend of the natural beauty of the Tahoe area and a touch of refined elegance. The ceremony took place on the lodge’s deck, surrounded by snow and towering trees.
The dinner inside the cozy lodge featured navy linens and pinecones that the couple collected themselves. The floral arrangements by Massa Floral Co were mostly white with hints of blue and green, complementing the rustic vibe of Rainbow Lodge.
Unique touches included custom motel key welcome gifts and a seating chart molded after the towering pine trees surrounding the venue.
Skylar and Jeremy suggest staying true to your vision and making the day personal. “Every detail should reflect who you are as a couple. We loved incorporating elements from our engagement and the natural beauty around us to make our day unique.”

Whispers of the Sea: a Timeless & Moody Coastal Wedding Inspo
In this wedding editorial, we aimed to juxtapose modern elegance with historical charm in a chic representation of ‘old meets new’. We blended contemporary design with old British architecture to give a nod to the past while embracing modernity. For us, modernity signifies a break from traditional norms and an embrace of values that prioritize inclusivity and promote a circular economy. We worked with Junior from Zebedee Talent who is non-binary, neurodiverse, and a wheelchair user alongside a team of eco-conscious suppliers. Across all our design elements we channeled a minimalist, environmentally-friendly approach, from our wedding cake to Junior’s look and accessories. The final result was a cohesive, fresh, and sustainable wedding aesthetic.
For the tablescape, we styled a clean, sleek setting to contrast with the historical architecture. Grand Tudor-style chandeliers hung above raised, foam-free orchid arrangements, surrounded by a row of white Anthurium lilies provided by Lou Lou Event Design and Nuun Cakes. We styled the cake and menus with flowing chiffon and satin bows.
We used sustainable and adaptive fashion to ensure ease of wear for each wardrobe choice. We opted for a mid-length, minimalist gown with clean lines to showcase fashion that is both practical and stylish. For Junior’s makeup, we went for a ‘barely there’ effect on the eyes with a gold eyeshadow and soft, light eyelashes. This was finished with a gloss over their lips.
It’s no secret that bows are trending, and they’re a great affordable way to decorate. Instead of buying new fabric from a craft store, consider going to a thrift store and breathing new life into vintage silk scarfs for a more sustainable approach.
Blurry bokeh photography is having a major moment and while we love showcasing detailed photos on the blog for you to pull inspiration from, we want to take a moment and talk about this trending style. Photos like this make great prints for the home. The blurry quality evokes more of a vibe than a specific moment and can bring a good mood to any space.

]]>Set against the historic backdrop of Club Atwater Montreal, established in 1926, this styled shoot epitomized timeless elegance with a touch of English sophistication. Each space, from the opulent grand ballroom with its high ceilings and minimalist decor to the bright, airy room where the ceremony unfolded, complemented the romantic and luxurious elements brought to life in this setup. Planned by Agence Aurea and photographed by Sophie Asselin , candlelight and plenty of drapery brought this minimalistic yet elegant inspo shoot to life.
A black and white calligraphed invitation suite by Imagine Joy with watercolor envelope inserts set the historic tone for this elegant event.
The bride’s ensemble from Natalia Exclusif, an off-the-shoulder gown with puffed sleeves and floral appliqués, enhanced her natural grace and was paired with a sheer, flowing veil, adding to her ethereal presence. Capturing timeless elegance, the bride’s makeup and hairstyle by Atelier Eva Blanca radiated a classic yet modern charm. Soft, neutral tones enhanced her natural beauty, while the distinctive hairstyle transformed her look.
The groom complemented the bride in a navy-blue velvet jacket from Suitablee, adding depth and harmony to the tableau. The deliberate choice of blue for the groom’s attire resonated perfectly with the blue eyes of the bride and the venue’s historic woodwork, adding a thoughtful and harmonious touch to their special day.

How to work the streets of Montreal into your wedding day
Floral designs from Studio CK wove together ranunculus, sweet peas, tulips, and spirea, creating a soft, romantic ambiance. The meticulous attention to textures—from velvet to linen and sheer fabrics—alongside heritage silverware, set a scene rich in detail and steeped in elegance.
Chosen for its classic beauty, the grand ballroom frames our central dining scene, while the ceremony features lush greenery and florals circling a majestic white marble fireplace.
For brides looking to replicate this look, mixing textures that feel luxurious and dimensional, from the opulence of silverware to the softness of drapery, the ethereal quality of sheer fabrics, the timelessness of ceramics, the organic allure of deconstructed flowers, the plushness of velvet, the sophistication of linen paper, the transparency of glass elements, and the inviting warmth exuded by flickering candles is absolutely the best way to approach this. The interplay of tactile experiences creates a multi-dimensional ambiance that is rich in character and visual interest.
When it comes to silverware, consider adding a personal touch by borrowing pieces from those dear to you. Infusing your table setting with heirloom pieces not only adds sentimental value but also interweaves stories and memories into the fabric of your celebration.

Pastel Engagement Rings Are Making Our Dreams Come True RN
For our modern wedding photography workshop series, “Capturing Connection, Crafting Depth”, Emily Wren Photography and Asya Photography aimed to embody authenticity and nurture connection. For our first workshop, we collaborated with Confetti & Co for design, Styled Bride for planning, and Belovely for floral arrangements to breathe new life into Philadelphia’s iconic Merchants Exchange, blending 90s nostalgia with contemporary elegance to reimagine a classic setting.
The initial part of our photoshoot at Power Plant Productions made the most of the abundant natural light, providing a stark contrast that allowed the colorful palette to shine.
The couple’s buoyant personalities were the perfect match for the candy-striped backdrop by Dusted Backdrops and a playful tablescape featuring a modern purple color scheme, illuminated by lavender Oaxaca candles and set against BBJ La Tavola’s patterned tablecloth.
What truly set this workshop apart was its ability to transform tradition into innovation, infusing every moment with creativity and authenticity. By reimagining classic settings and embracing contemporary trends, we created an immersive experience that left a lasting impact on all who attended.
For the main event, the bride wore a dramatic taffeta mermaid gown with a BIG bow detail in the back. The groom brought the color with a statement blue suit and floral printed tie. We are also straight-up obsessed with these pearl platform sandals!
Whether you’re looking for outfit inspiration for your own second looks or even an elopement, you can’t go wrong with these stunners. The groom wore a mauve suit from Generation Tux, and can we just say…such an underrated color, we LOVE! The bride rocked an adorable tulle mini dress with a veil that was just as voluminous!
In the second half of our modern wedding photography workshop, the couple donned their reception attire, adding a dynamic twist to their portraits with their getaway car at Merchants Exchange. We infused the session with lively ’90s elements—featuring a vintage convertible, a playful ’90s-style veil and dress, and bright yellow daisies. This fun reinterpretation transformed a traditional must-have spot into a vibrant, eye-catching scene.
When you’re considering renting a car for your big exit, remember, it can also double as decor. So, in girl math, that’s like getting a free car rental because it can come out of the decor budget 😂. We love that Belovely even made a special floral installation for just that purpose.

]]>This editorial shoot was inspired by a fusion of Western design with traditional Southeastern Asian customs within the intimate setting of a local, renowned restaurant. The York Room at Hawksworth Restaurant – the perfect setting for an intimate reception or private dinner – seats up to 54 guests. It features the classic architecture of the iconic Rosewood Hotel Georgia, complete with stained glass, chandeliers, and stunning crown moulding. With a curated menu and custom cocktails, it’s easy to see why any couple and their guests would enjoy the best dining experience the city of Vancouver has to offer! Photographed by Chuunice Photography, it’s easy to see from this inspo that it’s the perfect option for anyone who wants a luxurious smaller wedding.
Delicate yet saturated invitation design by Esgee Art Design set the stage in a variety of pastel tones. Envelopes featured floral interiors, while the stationery itself was in shades of creams and light pinks with grey or white writing in an array of traditional and modern fonts.
The bride’s style first incorporated a white Western style wedding dress from Eva Lendel (“Lanvee”) adorned with beading from Union Bridal. This dress was perfect for the private vows and portraits. The groom wore a modern, chic grey suit and black bowtie that matched the bride’s modern look.
Later on, an ivory, extravagantly embellished lehenga with feather sleeves from Wellgroomed Design Inc. was a perfect option for the celebratory dinner party. The look featured simple and modern jewelry from Her Fashion Vault, while hair and makeup, by Clara Leung and Paige Griffith, respectively, played off of a natural glam.

The floral design was whimsical and wild, a specialty of Garden Party Flower. Pastel colors were complemented by pops of jewel tones, while lightly colored tapered candles lit the evening ambiance as the sun went down.
The centerpieces added to the romance and celebration, while gold cutlery added a luxurious flair. Esgee Art Design created romantic menus, which went hand-in-hand with invitations that included custom floral garden artwork for the envelope liner and vellum wrap.
A playful wedding cake by Joconde Cakes & Sweets was decorated with a fondant bow and displayed in a meadow of floral arrangements.

Brianna and Tyler’s wedding day was a perfect blend of boho charm and organic chic. They, along with their nearest and dearest, made the journey from sunny Los Angeles to share an intimate ceremony and reception amidst the serene beauty of Oregon’s Loloma Lodge – it was a true destination micro-wedding! Surrounded by the elegance of the forest, Gallivan Photo perfectly captured the golden glow essence of this autumn wedding, planned with the help of The Indigo Bride.
Loloma Lodge had barely escaped wildfires leading up to the couple’s dream wedding weekend. Because the venue was closed leading up to the wedding, the planning team had even come up with a Plan B venue! Thankfully, the area reopened two weeks before the wedding date, and Brianna and Tyler were thrilled to be able to say “I do” at the lodge.
The bride donned a dress from En Blanc LA complemented by clay Loeffler Randall shoes. Boho chandelier earrings stood out against the elegant simplicity of her gown.
The groom opted for a grey three-piece suit from Suit Supply complemented by lighter brown leather shoes.
Brianna and Tyler said “I do” against the backdrop of a wooden structure decorated with earth-tone wildflowers blended with elegant roses and anemones by Freckled Fleurs. Guests looked on from wooden benches, and the couple’s dog was right by their side!

The couple’s pup, Rogi, stuck with them the entire night, even making a cameo during their first look and finding a cozy spot on top of Brianna’s dress during dinner.
Brianna and Tyler welcomed everyone to the reception with a mirrored welcome sign that blended perfectly into the natural setting. The sign complemented their welcome table that included a small guest book and a gorgeous clear, gold-outlined card box surrounded by wildflower-inspired arrangements.
With a cozy guest list of under 40, the dance floor buzzed all night long under the twinkling stars, with Rogi even joining in on the fun! Brianna stole the show with a stunning party dress, and as the evening wound down, guests gathered around for s’mores and late-night snacks.
The couple opted for an elegant single-tier cake with a fun surprise for guests off to the side – Sweet Life Patisserie included a miniature sculpture of the couple’s pup pretending to lick the cake.

Sundrenched Summer Feels In Croatia
My name is Klaudia Popić, a passionate wedding planner and designer for luxury weddings and events in Croatia and worldwide. With a phenomenal team, I orchestrated an incredibly beautiful wedding at the Palace Elisabeth Hotel Hvar on the San Marco Terrace in cooperation with Suncani Hvar. My vision was to create a concept that perfectly complements the exquisite venue with its historic character. As decorative elements, we utilized a large round altar table with a glass top exuding elegance, adorned with stunning flowers, all in a chic color theme.
The flawless flowers and decorations from Hedera Design, along with the exclusive stationery from Papierromantik, gave the entire design the wow factor. The wedding cake from Pastry Shop Hvar was another perfect detail.
The exquisite bridal dress was from Lin-Riehl by Pronovias, and the styling was by Klara Stojanović, who beautifully executed the makeup and hairstyle.
Utilizing the same chandeliers that they would later use for the reception tables, Klaudia Popic, and team, created a unique crystal chandelier alter like we’ve never seen before. Whimsical white floral arrangements lined the aisle and the beautiful Croatian skyline served as the backdrop for a romantic ceremony.
We don’t normally feature the food from weddings, but these food photos by Pasalic Studio happen to be some of the prettiest we’ve seen. So enjoy, and just try not to get hungry!

They said “I do” at their micro wedding under the giant Redwood canopies before hosting a small cake and toast and escaping to take the most stunning portraits on the coast. Keep scrolling to see how they had a macro celebration with a micro guest list in one of the most beautiful natural settings we can imagine. Captured by Jamie LeMarie Photography
Bride Marisa got ready for the big day in the Tree Cottage at Glen Oaks with help from her mom, sisters, and friends. She carried a delicate bouquet of wildflowers by Willi Wildflower in a variety of sweet color and textures.
The couple and their wedding party took a short drive to Big Sur Lodge for the ceremony where they hosted it amongst the Redwood trees.
After saying I do, the bride and groom hosted a small celebration after with a champagne toast and wedding cake from Sweet Reba’s.
The couple’s family and friends gave heartfelt speeches, and after taking some family portraits – including, of course, photos with the couple’s beloved dog, Soho – the couple returned to Glen Oaks for portraits amongst the Redwoods.
After the forest, the couple and their photographer drove up the coast to Garrapata State Park, where they finished off the most amazing day adventuring on the cliffs along the coast. The couple shared their first dance with the waves crashing as their soundtrack. It was truly a micro-wedding to remember!
