Magenta, peach, lavender, and periwinkle come together to create a delectably vibrant color palette in this unexpectedly lush Chicago courtyard wedding inspo. Bridget Mary Weddings & Events set out to show couples living in big cities that you don't need to let where you are define your wedding design. If you want a garden wedding, there are plenty of green spots to be had; you just need to know where to look—or hire a planner who does! Marissa Kelly Photography captured every little detail; keep scrolling to see even more inspo from this colorful shoot and to read all about the amazing vendors that brought it all together.
Intention-Filled Colorful Wedding In The Santa Monica Hills
Tropical Florida wedding that’s bursting with colorful blooms
An Artful Chicago Wedding Inspired By Morocco
This editorial shoot was full of charming details and vibrant colors. It's the perfect inspiration for any modern couple! The design started with the fashion, featuring a chic strapless gown with lace detailing from Grace + Ivory and an emerald green suit from Suit Shop, a sleek, sophisticated look for this pair. We worked with Bridget Mary Weddings, who wanted to steer clear of the popular black/white or pastel color palettes that have been trending and go for colors that are vibrant and bold.
There’s nothing quite like summertime in Chicago (and as a Chicago-based bridal brand, we will die on this hill!). Although we love a city-view rooftop ceremony and a concrete jungle photo opp, it can be more difficult to find venues with lush greenery for a garden-party-inspired wedding. Center Street Kitchen (CSK) in Lincoln Park features a beautiful and intimate garden patio with a unique mirror wall adorned in greenery. It’s perfect for smaller, cocktail-style weddings and events.
For the dress, we selected a new design for 2024, the Zoe dress. Featuring a trending, corset-style bodice with a large flower lace applique adorned with clear sequins... the Zoe dress is a structured fit-and-flare beauty. Not to mention the scalloped lace train, which always becomes the star of the show. We paired the gown with Suit Shop’s dark green suit and floral tie to play up the groom’s quirky personality.
The Flower Club Chicago put together a non-typical wildflower mix for an overall theme that we coined “funky garden party!” A ceremony setup of low florals in shades of plum and lavender allowed the beauty of the couple to shine.
For the reception design, the team created a tablescape with colorful tapered candles, whimsical wildflower centerpieces, and vintage china place settings. Everything about this styled shoot shouted "joy".
These adorable heart-shaped cakes have been all over our feed lately, and we can't get enough! We especially love how they incorporated all of the wedding colors into this one instead of going for the traditional all-white frosting.
