When rain threatened this bridal luncheon on a yacht, this bride’s team had her back. As with any event, there are some things that you simply can’t plan, like the weather. Instead of panicking and switching gears completely, Delia Jeffcoat Events worked with the captain of the ship and managed to go on with the party as planned with the ship parked safely at the dock. The result is a bright and beautiful celebration in shades of blue and pink with some cute nautical vibes. It just shows that at the end of the day, all that matters is who you’re with. their love story

Avery and Michael’s love story began in high school in Bossier City, Louisiana, when they first met at Smoothie King during Avery’s senior year. Sparks flew, and their bond deepened over shared experiences like proms, basketball games, trips to Disney, and church camps. Their connection continued to grow through college at Louisiana Tech, where Michael even flew over Avery’s house in a school plane to say hello. After years of cherished memories, Michael proposed to Avery during a family vacation in Watercolor, Florida. He created a romantic beachfront setting with light-up letters that spelled out, “Marry Me”, lanterns, and framed photos of their journey together. Avery joyfully said yes, and the couple celebrated with a surprise dinner surrounded by family, marking the beginning of their forever.

nautical meets feminine elegance

The excitement of Avery and Michael Green’s wedding weekend began with a stunning bridal luncheon aboard the Lady Liberty at Big Cedar Lodge, thoughtfully planned by Avery’s mother, Delia Jeffcoat of Delia Jeffcoat Events. With hot pink and shades of blue as the color palette and nautical accents throughout, the event was a perfect blend of elegance and fun, just as Avery had envisioned.

Avery wanted to merge a classic nautical vibe with her own feminine flair. “I wanted to go with a nautical theme but make it girly,” says Avery. Pops of hot pink alongside deep blue hues set the stage, with florals by Eddie Colvin bringing the color palette to life. Elegant linens from BBJ La Tavola, shimmering in the perfect blue tones, adorned the tables, while beautifully crafted cookies by Cookies 2 Geaux added a personal touch. Delicate stationery by Priss Press tied everything together, reflecting the charm and style of the day. Every detail of the day was lovingly curated, from the thoughtful hostess gifts provided by Paper Tulip to the exquisite cake by Social Bites Confections. Hostesses Stephanie James, Ashley Wade, and Ashley McLean made sure every guest felt welcome and celebrated, adding a personal touch to the day.

The Lady Liberty provided the perfect setting, offering breathtaking views and a luxurious atmosphere. Although the weather didn’t cooperate as planned, with a torrential downpour forcing the boat to remain docked, the spirit of the event stayed upbeat. “It was a torrential downpour, and we were worried we weren’t going to be able to have the luncheon on the Lady Liberty. Thankfully, the captain allowed us to, we just had to stay docked,” recalls Avery. Guests, shielded from the rain, sang along to “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?” as the live musician made light of the storm. The unexpected weather became a moment of joy, proving that when surrounded by friends and family, a little rain can’t dampen the celebration.

The bridal luncheon brought in cherished Southern traditions, including the beloved bridesmaid cake pull. Each guest eagerly selected a string, pulling charms that offered predictions for the future. The standout moment was when Avery herself pulled the ring charm, symbolizing that she would be the next to wed…a fitting forecast since her wedding to Michael was set for the very next day! Guests also enjoyed a delicious brunch catered by Big Cedar Lodge, featuring fresh waffles and other delightful treats, while the musical backdrop added warmth and energy to the celebration.

Natasha and Adel have been high school sweethearts since 2010. They have three adorable pups, love to travel, enjoy spa days, and run their own business, Creativa + Co Events! Natasha left her teaching job to turn her hobby into a full-time passion, not knowing the adventure ahead. After many trials and errors, Adel quit his construction job to join her, bringing his creative touch to the team. He proposed just before Christmas in 2022, and now they’re excited to make it official! The shower was extra special because, for the first time, Natasha was on the receiving end of the party planning.

Inspired by The Princess Diaries, she dreamed of a fancy pajama party, dancing with her favorite girls, and having a blast!  The “Petals and Pajamas” themed bridal shower was held at none other than Casa Valencia, nestled in the heart of Coral Gables. This sophisticated, newly-established venue offers a blank canvas that transforms each event into a unique masterpiece. Guests were warmly welcomed to the shower with a charming bellhop cart adorned with floral arrangements and candles, setting the tone for their stay at “Cloud Castillo”.

2024-6-21-natashas-bridal-shower-6942

Instead of opting for a traditional tablescape, Natasha chose a more innovative approach by arranging her guests at serpentine tables made from round tables rather than rectangular ones. Her florist adorned the tables with cascading arrangements and an array of pastel candlesticks and bud vases, creating a setting where guests could interact seamlessly. Every detail was meticulously curated, from the elegant plates to the unique, slender gold utensils. Blush crystal goblets and champagne dupioni napkins further enhanced the luxurious theme and color palette, ensuring opulence was evident in every place setting.

the games

2024-6-21-natashas-bridal-shower-7501

Natasha added her own flair to traditional bridal shower games and activities, creating an unforgettable experience. The festivities included the classic toilet paper dress game, pass the prize, “Who Has El Novio?” scratch-offs, and musical chairs with Natasha’s favorite tunes. Her fiancé surprised everyone for a personalized round of “He Said, She Said,” using posters of their faces instead of shoes for the answers. This mix of games provided entertainment for all guests, making the pajama party a delightful and memorable event.

every last bite

2024-6-21-natashas-bridal-shower-7767

Known for her vibrant personality, Natasha wanted her culinary experience to reflect her vivacity, showcasing rich flavors through every dish and beverage. The bridal shower commenced with a cocktail hour featuring signature drinks such as “On Cloud Castillo,” incorporating her new last name into a prosecco and cotton candy concoction. Other highlights included “Spicy Dreams,” a spicy margarita—Natasha’s favorite—and “Loca Con Su Mojito,” a traditional mojito from her “Venus” bar, named after her beloved furry friend. During cocktail hour, a selection of Natasha’s favorite hors d’oeuvres were passed around. Guests were then treated to a pasta station, perfectly aligning with the event’s Princess Diaries/pajama party theme. The evening culminated in a delightful dessert lounge curated by her dear friend Flour and Fleur, featuring guava chunk cake, cookies and cream shooters, lavender mousse, chocolate chip cookies, tres leches, and guava cookies, all of Natasha’s favorite desserts for her guests to savor. As a charming touch, guests received customized McDonald’s Happy Meals as favors and late-night bites, perfect for snacking during dancing or on their way home.

As the night came to a close with laughter echoing through Casa Valencia, Natasha and Adel’s journey from high school sweethearts to business partners and soon-to-be newlyweds was celebrated in a dazzling, unforgettable soirée that encapsulated their love for creativity, joy, and each other.

Back in the day, bachelor and bachelorette parties were very separate matters. The girl would venture out with her best girlfriends, and guys with their guyfriends, for one last crazy single night. But, that whole idea seems so antiquated now. First, we don’t exclusively socialize with the same gender, and second, many couples have a shared friend group, not just “his” and “hers”. So, instead of making your friends choose which party to go to, why not throw a joint Bachelor/Bachelorette weekend? And, in case you were wondering…we’ve got just the place–New Orleans!

Forget Vegas, when it comes to Bach parties, there’s no better destination than NOLA. They’ve got it all–music, nightlife, food. And just think how fun it will be to share all those fun times with your entire group of besties. If you still want to keep some things separate, we recommend booking a few separate suites at the same hotel, that way you have space when you want it and have a place where you can all come together and hang out too. One group can relax at the hotel spa while the other goes on a food tour and then you can all meet up at the end of the night for a classic New Orleans ghost tour before a trip down Bourbon Street. Doesn’t it seriously sound like the best vacation ever?!

Another reason New Orleans is the perfect Bach party destination is because it’s home to a TON of incredible festivals. Festivals are a great way to ensure a weekend packed full of activities. And the best part? Someone made the itinerary for you. All you have to do is get tickets and show up. Here are a few of our favorite NOLA festivals…

MUSIC

jazz fest bachelor party in new orleans

new orleans jazz & heritage festival

With jazz, pop, funk, hip-hop, rock, zydeco, indie, and blues, Jazz Fest has live entertainment for everyone. The eight-day music festival is held at the end of April through the beginning of May at the historic Fair Grounds Race Course. If you want to view all the action up-close then the Krewe of Jazz Fest VIP is the package for you. With high-end folding seats along with private, upscale restroom facilities (a HUGE plus) and a dedicated beverage concession area, your squad can enjoy Jazz Fest right in front of the Festival Stage. Everyone can celebrate in style while watching their favorite musical superstars perform just feet away.

ESSENCE festival

Essence Festival is a celebration of contemporary black music and culture. You may recognize some of these past performers–Beyoncé, Charlie Wilson, Jill Scott, Frankie Beverly, and Maze. Spend your days front and center in the Superdome watching your favorites perform with the VIP Weekend Ticket package. You can also enjoy a more intimate performance with artists performing in the four, club-level, super lounges. Can you even imagine?

french quarter festival

Every April, the famous French Quarter comes together to celebrate local music and the festival is open to the public. There are over 20 stages that line the street and performers and performances that represent every genre from traditional and contemporary jazz to R&B, New Orleans funk, brass bands, folk, gospel, Latin, Zydeco, classical, cabaret, and international. We recommend scooping up some 4-Day Weekend VIP passes so you and your crew can enjoy exclusive perks like lounges, shaded elevated viewing areas, private bars, private restrooms, exclusive programming, and even get some free drinks.

FOOD

N.O. wine & food experience

So you’re here for the food and drinks? Say less. Each spring thousands of food and wine enthusiasts gather in the French Quarter for the New Orleans Wine and Food Experience. The festival showcases hundreds of wineries and restaurants that feature local flavor and innovative new creations. Top chefs from around the city come together for this four-day event to create culinary experiences like no other. Whether you’re a group of foodies or you’re just looking for a tasty time on the town, this festival has packages to please everyone in your party.

COOLinary

Cuisine is part of the fabric and culture of New Orleans. Each summer, restaurants across the Crescent City participate in a culinary extravaganza known as, “COOLinary New Orleans.” Restaurants offer curated prix-fixe menus at unbeatable prices. Enjoy 2-course lunches for $28 or less, and 3-course dinners and brunches for $58 or less. Save $$$ and eat more–where do we sign up? COOLinary New Orleans runs from August 1 – September 15, make sure to make your reservations in advance, especially if there’s going to be a lot of you.

tales of the cocktail

Shake things up for your co-ed celebration at this week-long festival! Each summer, the Tales of the Cocktail Festival fills the French Quarter with thousands of people and some of the country’s best mixologists and bartenders. You and your crew can also enjoy lectures, book signings, dinner pairings, cooking, and mixing demonstrations. Let the drinks and the good times roll!

CULTURE

how to dress up for a mardi gras bachelorette party in new orleansPhoto: @bryceellphoto

mardi gras season

Probably the most famous celebration in all of the US, Mardi Gras is less of a festival than it is an entire season in New Orleans. Festivities run from January 6-March 4, 2025. That’s 5 weekends to catch a parade and partake in all of the debauchery. If you are planning on celebrating your joint bach party in New Orleans during Mardi Gras season, make sure you book your hotels and flights well in advance because there will be a lot of “krewes” with the same idea. Speaking of your crew, pick a theme and make sure everyone has a costume, just trust us, it’s part of the fun!

red dress run

Held annually on the second Saturday in August, the Red Dress Run brings crowds from near and far to participate in and watch this 2-mile run through the scenic Crescent Park. Whether you are running or not, yes a red dress is required–the photos are always epic! The run is hosted by the New Orleans Hash House Harriers, a local drinking club, so you know there will be plenty of “refreshments” before and after the run to keep the fun going. You’ll need a ticket to participate in the run which you can register for here, and lunch and live music is included.

san fermin/ running of the bulls

If you don’t want to commit to a full weekend of activities, then let us recommend this little gem. Every July in New Orleans, the Annual Running of the Bulls thumps through the streets of downtown New Orleans. It pays homage to Encierro of Pamplona, the original “Running of the Bulls” held in Spain. Though, in this one, there are no actual bulls. Instead, you and your crew can run from the Big Easy Rollergirls 😂! For sporty crews, it’s a fun way to get your blood pumping and of course, there will be wine and spirits to get you in the “spirit” before and after the run.

New York City is one of the party capitals of the world with activities going on 24/7. The city is packed with so much culture and vibrance that it is impossible to see and do everything while you are here. It’s also become one of the hottest spots for bachelorette parties. Girls travel all over the world with their friends to NYC to celebrate their bachelorette parties. However, you don’t want to end up getting scammed or taken advantage of so keep reading for recommendations on how to celebrate a memorable bachelorette party in New York City!

Where to Stay

NYC offers a plethora of options when it comes to lodging. From hostels to AirBnb’s the fancy hotels, the city that never sleeps has it all. However, which places are the best? Well if you’re on a budget, HI NYC Hostel is one of the best hostels in NYC with beds starting around $49 per person. For New York City, you can’t beat that price! They even offer female-only rooms and they are very clean and tidy. Many female solo travelers even stay there so you may meet some new foreign friends!

Daytime Activities

Brunch:

For brunch, there is no reason to break the bank. Sure there are places that charge an arm and a leg for brunch, just because they were featured on a magazine or had some celebrity dining there. But we are celebrating your bachelorette party on a budget so don’t worry! For starters, you can always set up a beautiful picnic in Central Park, one of the most iconic parks in the world. Don’t want to spend all the time shopping and setting things up? No worries! You can always stop by La Bonbonniere, one of the oldest diners in NYC in the West Village. The food there is amazing and the staff will make you feel like you’re right at home.

brooke-lark-hlncigvui4q-unsplash

Sight-seeing:

Now that you’re well fed from brunch, it’s time to see the beautiful sights of NYC. Take your bachelorette party to the beautiful High Line where you and your girls can get wonderful photos. The beautiful scenery looks like something out of a fairy tale and there is just so much culture and history. The landscape is beautiful and calming and you and your girls will certainly feel very relaxed after a nice walk along the High Line.

There’s also the South Street Seaport where there are a ton of activities to do. There are always street performers and shops to look at. Also the scenery is beautiful so if you and your girls need photos, this is the place to do it. If you love the smell of cool salty water and you’re looking for a nice peaceful place to relax, the South Street Seaport is a wonderful idea.

emiliano-bar-kheti8piywu-unsplash

Nighttime Activities

Dinner: For dinner you can stop at Xian Famous Foods, one of NYC’s famous restaurants and are popular for their delicious yet cheap dishes. The seating might be a little tight so you and your girls might be better off heading over to nearby John Jay park and having dinner with beautiful views of the East River. Sit back, relax and enjoy the views because your wild night is just getting started!

mae-mu-h5hj8qv2tx4-unsplash

Male Revue Shows

What would a bachelorette party be without a male strip show? We recommend Exotique Men, a popular male strip club in NYC. They offer VIP table packages starting at $275 for a table of 5 and it comes with a bottle of champagne, a hot seat where they bring the bachelorette up on stage, and also free photos with the guys after the show. Regular VIP tickets cost $60 so for a table of 5 you actually save money plus get a free bottle so it is quite a deal. Plus the guys were super cute and they did a great job performing.

Nightclubs

After the male strip show, it’s time for the afterparty. It’s fun watching guys dance and all but now it’s time for the girls to let loose and have a good time! The cheapest way to party in NYC for girls is to get in touch with a nightclub promoter. Promoters get paid to bring girls to clubs and many times they have tables with bottles. Be careful though! Make sure you get a copy of the promoter’s identification before going with them anywhere and be sure you know which club they are promoting for. You can also reach out to the club to confirm beforehand that the promoter is truthful. For the most part, NYC promoters are honest and harmless but sometimes they have a tough time of getting girls into the nightclubs, depending on which club it is.

antoine-j-r3xvsbeqqlo-unsplash

Departing Thoughts

Celebrating a bachelorette party in NYC does not have to be expensive. There are many ways to have a great time without breaking the bank. We know that New York City can be an expensive and unforgiving place but we have got you covered. From brunch to nightclubs, we’ve got you covered when it comes to making plans. So sit back, relax and enjoy your bachelorette party!

bachelorette party at union station in denver Colorado

We’ve seen a lot of bachelorette parties (like A LOT!), and once you’ve seen one Vegas, Nashville, or Palm Springs bachelorette, you’ve seen them all. Plus, you’re at that age where all of your friends are getting engaged, so at some point, you’ll end up doubling up on the same itinerary. Well, babe, it’s your turn now (yay, you’re engaged!), so why not take the opportunity to spice things up? What about Denver, CO??? If you’ve never been allow us to sing its praises for a bit, but once you and your crew arrive, you won’t need any more convincing. Here’s your guide to having the best bachelorette weekend in The Mile High City

hit up or stay at denver union station

union station in denver Colorado at night

Denver Union Station is an old-school train station. Think Anna Karenina or Harry Potter. It is a local landmark and has recently undergone a massive restoration and re-development that has made it a destination in its own right in the heart of downtown.

The 1914 Beaux-Arts station is now a hub for transportation, dining, shopping, and entertainment. You can even stay there at The Crawford Hotel, a chic, mid-century-mod boutique hotel that will make every snapshot that much more aesthetically pleasing. Denver Union Station is also home to four new Colorado chef-owned restaurants so you can literally eat at a different restaurant every night without ever having to leave the station.

A Forbes Four Star, AAA Four Diamond luxury landmark located in the heart of downtown Denver, The Brown Palace Hotel & Spa is a charter member of National Trust Historic Hotels of America. The hotel opened its doors on August 12, 1892, and hasn’t closed them for a single moment since. The Brown Palace remains one of the city’s crown jewels today, with its stunning stained glass atrium lobby, extravagant suites, and extraordinary dining venues. The hotel’s original artesian spring well is located 720 feet beneath the lobby floor and still provides water to every faucet in the hotel. If you’re feelin’ bougie–this is the hotel for you! Even with a quick Google of Denver, we’re sure this 40-foot-tall sculptural landmark popped up on your radar. “I See What You Mean,” better known as “The Big Blue Bear,” on 14th and California streets, was created by the late Denver-based artist Lawrence Argent. This delightful sculpture peers curiously into the building, injecting a sense of fun and playfulness into the Colorado Convention Center. Take a photo or two of this only-in-Denver icon—he looks good from every angle. If you don’t post a pic with The Big Blue Bear, did you even go to Denver?

Looking for a fun central bachelorette destination–what about New Orleans? It has everything you need for an unforgettable bach party: top-notch hotels and spas, interesting boutiques, live music galore, and (in a word) NIGHTLIFE!
Seriously, no one knows how to party like New Orleans–from chill insta-worthy lounges to Bourbon Street and everything in between! Oh, and of course, we HAVE to talk about the food.

what your bachelorette weekend could look like

spa day by the lake in new orleans

You land at one of two convenient airports with your crew and after a short ride you arrive at your hotel in the historic French Quarter.

From the lobby to the view from your suite, the stories practically make themselves. You pop a bottle of bubbly at the rooftop bar then off to the hotel spa for a bit of TLC before your first big night out.

“Super helpful in booking local hotel blocks by neighborhood!” – Caitlin

You’ve got a rezzie at one of the city’s hottest restaurants that is as stunning as it is delicious. You split a bottle of rosé and enough fresh seafood to make your heart happy for as long as you live. You make your way back to the hotel to change before “going out” for the night but you stop at Cafe du Monde for a cup of chicory coffee and a fresh beignet to prep for the big night ahead.

fun bachelorette nightlife in new orleans

“So helpful to not have to reach out to all the hotels individually. I’m also looking forward to putting the New Orleans magazines in my hospitality bags.” – Robin

You and your crew are ready to take on the town, and maybe earn some beads, bachelorette sashes, tiaras, and all. The first stop, a cool craft cocktail lounge in a historic old building, then onto Bourbon Street and Frenchmen St. for dancing and a little bar hopping.

how to have your bachelorette in new orleans

Efficient, incredibly helpful, highly professional, and friendly.” – Leah

Wake up slow the next day and do a chill brunch at the hotel. Then, after a nap poolside, you explore the French Quarter and pop in and out of the cute boutiques that line the streets and take in the live art and music that surround you. The Frenchmen St. Art Market is definitely worth popping into as well to pick up some one-of-a-kind souvenirs.

Finally, we’re in an age where we work to live and not the other way around! Bachelor[ette] parties are getting more and more extra by the day…and we’re not mad at it! And since people are getting married later in life–with that comes more $$$ to have more fun, but unfortunately less time to plan. From booking (and vetting) accommodations, organizing excursions and activities, and coordinating transportation–they literally take care of everything.

tell us more!

Doesn’t that sound MAGICAL?! So, let’s get into the deets. The first step is to set up a quick call with one of their agents (bosses) to discuss everything from dates and budgets to interests, destinations, and requests. From there, your dedicated boss works their magic and will propose the perfect trip for you and your crew, laying out a detailed itinerary and we mean detailed! And more than that, they’ll provide peace of mind for an elevated and memorable bachelor or bachelorette party with a seamless process.

Garden Bridal Shower Ideas

Have a bride that wants to feel like she’s in her own fairytale? A garden bridal shower is the way to go! Designed by Kelsie Elise Connelly, Gabrielle’s shower started with big floral dreams and a hunt for the perfect backyard to transform. Luckily, Haymount Homes was on their way to renovating a home in the Historic Haymount District of Fayetteville, North Carolina into the English cottage that we were looking for.

A backyard lined from corner to corner in beautiful greenery was the picturesque space that we needed to create Gabrielle’s Garden. The design began centered around the idea of a large greenery arch with dripping florals surrounding the head table. Thistle & Moon was the perfect choice for this event. They were just as excited as we were to execute our dream floral arch and used a stunning variety of blooms to create all of the arrangements, including dahlias, zinnias, cosmos, tulips, cappuccino roses, delphinium, lisianthus and more.

Compote arrangements and ikebana cups lined the tables and buffet and a matching swag hung on a tall shiplap wall used for photos. A selection of rentals from Greenhouse Picker Sisters were carefully selected to build the ambience of the afternoon. Long farm tables and bentwood chairs filled the space. The tabletops were accented with scalloped white chargers, gold-rimmed white plates, and gold flatware. A custom brunch menu created by Kelsie Elise Connelly and hand-tied cotton napkins were placed upon the plates. A variety of pink goblets, clear champagne flutes, and baby blue taper candles rounded out the look. Thrifted vintage books and tea pots were nestled between floral arrangements on top of long white cheesecloth runners. Guests found their seats with custom acrylic lavender place cards made by Modlode.
