ICYMI: Model Vittoria Ceretti wore an embroidered bathing suit at the end of the Spring-Summer 2019 #CHANELHauteCouture show on Tuesday, Jan. 22., and chicks, it was absolutely 🙌🙌🙌. Of course, it’s pretty common for Haute Couture designers to send brides down the aisle (errr runway?) for their last look - but when it’s a bride in a swimsuit (the sweetest, sexiest, sparkliest one we’ve ever seen, at that), the world doesn’t forget.
We sure as hell haven’t.
This monokini is so major. From the waist-baring cutouts to the all-over crystal, rhinestone, and sequin paillette embellishments, the look is everything we love about an over-the-top glam bridal gown, but more at home on the beach. And actually, when you see the suit complete with the dome-dazzling swimcap and silver glitter cathedral-length veil trailing behind, you can almost imagine this bride leaving her cabana, adding on her aisle accoutrements, and throwing her shades on her sun chaise to make sure she gets to the altar on time. Or reversed, if she’s having a sandy, beachside reception, and wants to shed her flowy and frothy bridal gown from the ceremony for a fitted+sparkling second look.
Oh, Chanel, you’ve succeeded in making us forget all about the frigid and blistering winter temps we’re currently facing and start thinking of warmer, sunnier weather ahead. Where do we go first? Spring bachelorette season, duh.
For brides with Summer ‘19 weddings in the books, spring is their bridal shower and bach season. And they can’t go away without their own bridal-inspired suit, because if ‘bride’ is nowhere to be found on that ensem (either literally or figuratively), did your last fling before the ring even happen?!?!!
We’ve done some digging to find some of the best and most bridal one and two-piece swimsuits around. If you haven’t decided on a beach look for your own bach trip yet, you can totally steal some of our favorites…
Where we’re coming from when we say ‘either literally or figuratively’)
If you don’t end up getting bride+tribe suits for your mini vacay, that distinguish you from the squad, then you really just need to tell the crew to steer their colorways away from white - cream, ivory, even silver - you’re calling dibs on that for the weekend!

This is the most fun. Think playful ruffles, lace, tulle, whimsy florals. Anything that makes you think of a wedding gown (i.e. fabrics or features or embellishments) is fair game!
